FitChat ("we", "us", "our") operates an AI-powered nutrition coaching service accessible through messaging platforms including Telegram, and WhatsApp ("the Service"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information.

- Account information: Your messaging platform user ID, display name, and preferred language.
- Meal data: Food descriptions, photos of meals, and nutritional information you log through the Service.
- Health goals: Calorie and macronutrient targets you set within the Service.
- Conversation history: Messages you send to the Service for the purpose of providing contextual coaching.
- Food memories: Food preferences and custom entries you ask the Service to remember (e.g., "my protein shake is 30g protein").

- Platform data: Information provided by messaging platforms as part of their bot/webhook APIs (e.g., chat ID, message metadata).
Information we do NOT collect
- We do not collect your email address, phone number, or real name unless you voluntarily share it.

- We do not read messages you send to other users or groups.
2. How We Use Your Information
- Provide the Service: Process your meal logs, calculate nutritional data, track daily progress, and deliver AI coaching.

3. AI Processing
FitChat uses third-party AI models (Anthropic Claude) to process your messages and provide nutritional coaching. When you send a message:
- Your message and relevant conversation history are sent to Anthropic's API for processing.
- Anthropic processes data according to their Privacy Policy. Under their commercial API terms, your data is not used to train their models.
- We log AI interaction metadata (model used, token count, processing time) for cost monitoring and service optimization.
4. Data Storage and Security
- Your data is stored in secure, encrypted databases hosted on infrastructure with industry-standard security practices.
- We use encryption in transit (TLS/HTTPS) for all data transfers.
- Access to user data is restricted to authorized personnel only.
- We retain your data for as long as your account is active. You can request deletion at any time.
5. Data Sharing
We do not sell your personal data. We share data only with:
- AI providers (Anthropic): To process your messages and provide the Service. Subject to their data processing agreements.
- Messaging platforms: Through their standard bot APIs to deliver messages to you.
- Payment processors (Stripe): If you make a purchase. We do not store your payment card details.

The FitChat website (fitchat.app) uses minimal cookies for language preference only. We do not use advertising trackers, analytics cookies, or third-party tracking scripts. The messaging service itself does not use cookies.
